Highlights
Revered and iconic, Royal Ascot is Great Britain’s most famous race meeting.
This historic event is attended by The Queen every year, arriving in her horse-drawn carriage from nearby Windsor Castle in a spectacular Royal Procession at the beginning of each race day.
As a racehorse owner, her Majesty watched in 2013 as her thoroughbred ‘Estimate’ won the Gold Cup. With prize money totalling more than £5.5 million, Royal Ascot makes household names of the fine thoroughbreds who triumph here.
Royal Ascot is a highly anticipated summertime event for socialising. A spectacle of fashion and style, notably on Ladies Day where incredible hats are de rigueur, the meeting is broadcast all over the world. Ascot has a famously strict dress code, so what better occasion to dress up to the nines!
On arrival, enjoy a complementary glass of bucks fizz in our private gazebo area on the grassy lawns. Why not bring along a picnic to enjoy before the races begin?
Make your way to the heart of the action in either the Queen Anne or Windsor enclosure. If you choose the Queen Anne Enclosure (formerly Grandstand, Thurs- Sat only) you can benefit from a prime race viewing location right next to the dramatic final furlongs, as the horses gallop past the Winning Post. View the Royal Procession’s arrival at the Royal Enclosure and the thoroughbreds before they race at the Parade Ring. You’ll have a choice of sunny Champagne bars and exquisite restaurants to choose from.
In the Windsor Enclosure (formerly Silver Ring) get swept up in the excitement and roar of the crowd as the horses thunder down the straight mile. Catch the first glimpse of the Queen as the Royal Procession arrives. Here you are spoiled for choice with food at the Silver Street food market and lively bars.
