Join us on a magical coach tour of Cornwall's incredible coastline, with a twist! We will be staying for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) in luxury yurts on the North Cornwall coastline near Bude!
We'll depart Central London at 8am and drive down to Cornwall in our cosy coach, stopping for a break on-route. We'll head to our home for the weekend at East Thorne, to get settled in our comfy yurts or cottages. Then we will head to the nearby town of Bude and visit a great pub for dinner.
After a spot of breakfast (you'll need to bring this with you!) we have a scenic drive right through the Cornish countryside. We will first have a short tour of the incredible Minack Theatre, built into the clifftops near Penzance.
Next, we will loose ourselves in the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan. Twenty-five years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great estate. Today, the Lost Gardens have been put back where they belong: in pride of place among the finest gardens in Cornwall. The Heligan Kitchen & Bakery is a perfect spot to grab a delicious lunch.
Finally we will head to quaint Charlestown Harbour, where scenes from the popular TV series Poldark were filmed. See the tallships in the harbour and explore the beach before visiting a traditional pub for dinner. We will stop at a supermarket on the way back to East Thorne, why not pick up a few drinks for a social evening around the campfire?
We will take a short hop down the North Cornwall coast to the beautiful ancient village of Tintagel, where we will explore the clifftop castle which legend says was home to King Arthur. See the mist swirling in Merlin's Cave far below. After exploring the castle and village, we'll board the coach for the journey back to London, stopping on route for a break.
