Highlights
On this all-weather day trip we follow in the footsteps of some of Great Britain’s geniuses! Our first stop is stop is the university town of Cambridge, full of incredible architecture, characterful streets and leafy green college ‘backs’. You have free time to pursue whatever interests you here, art lovers might wish to visit the stunning Fitzwiliam Museum, whilst history buffs might enjoy a tour around King’s College Chapel.
Our next stop is Bletchley Park, once Britain’s best-kept secret. It was home to the WWII Codebreakers, whose work is said to have shortened the war by two years.
Visit the codebreaking huts in the grounds restored to how they would have been in those turbulent times. Learn about the life of the great Alan Turing, mathematics genius who cracked the Enigma code. His life has recently been remembered in the film ‘The Imitation Game’. There is plenty to see and do at Bletchley, and your ticket is included in the cost of the trip!
